Day 2   Siem Reap: Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Unique Village Dining
This morning head to Angkor Wat with your guide in an air-conditioned car. Explore this majestic temple throughout the morning while it is still cool and has fewer tourists. Continue on to explore Angkor Thom, the famous walled city and see the many temples within its borders, including the fascinating Bayon temple with its many magnificent faces smiling out.
You will be met at your hotel at 4pm and taken to the beautiful Kompheim village, located just outside Siem Reap. Here you can enjoy a short stroll through a traditional village with one of the local guides, finishing with sunset drinks at the beautiful and unique Village House. Relax and enjoy your very own private dining experience, surrounded by nothing but rice paddies and accompanied by traditional music. After enjoying your very special culinary experience, you will be transferred back to your hotel around 9pm.
Meals included: Dinner

Day 3   Siem Reap: Beng Mealea, Banteay Srei, Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before leaving the crowds behind and heading to Beng Mealea, one of Angkor’s more mysterious temples located 40km outside of the main temple complex. At the temple your guide will help you imagine how it once was as you pick your way through the rubble now surrounded by jungle. Continue on to Banteay Srei, an intricately carved temple known as the Lady Temple, and have lunch at a nearby local restaurant. On your way back to town stop to visit Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm, two of the prettiest temples in the complex, before returning to your hotel late afternoon.
Meals included: Lunch

Day 4   Siem Reap: Tour of the Lingas and the Grand Circuit
This morning you will be taken by your guide to explore the fascinating Kbal Spean. Once there, hike for about two hours to get to the “River of a Thousand Lingas.” In ancient times if water ran over lingas it was said to be holy water. The ancient Khmers therefore made thousands of lingas along this riverbed so the water that flowed to their rice fields was blessed. The lingas and other stone carvings remain today. After exploring the surrounding jungle, enjoy lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch head out to do the Grand Circuit, including the well-known temples of Preah Khan and Neak Pean, which were constructed by King Jayavarman VII. Then continue on to see Ta Som, East Mebone and finally Pre Rup, where you will enjoy the sunset in this beautiful setting.
Meals included: Lunch

Day 5   Siem Reap: Hidden Temples and The Rolous Group
This morning your guide will meet you at the hotel at 7am and you will head into the temple complex, driving through the quiet of the morning to a special hidden road. Here you will find a smaller temple rarely visited by tourists. Despite being in the Angkor temple complex this is a quiet escape from the noise and bustle of some of the other temples. Once at the temple relax and do some exploring. When you're ready to move on you can walk to a nearby Ta Keo Temple…climb to the top and enjoy the amazing views! From Ta Keo head to the Angkor Thom Gate and take a walk along the Angkor Thom wall. Again, no one visits this beautiful area and it's quiet and peaceful. At the end of the wall you will get to the East Gate, which was used for taking dead bodies to be cremated in Angkorian times. A beautiful gate with Bayon faces you'll be the only tourists there to see them. Return to your hotel for lunch or have your guide help you find a good lunch spot in town. Remember to take a look at our Cheat Sheet which lists a number of our favorite restaurant recommendations!
In the afternoon you will be taken to visit the Rolous Group, a group of Angkorean temples located 15 minutes outside of Siem Reap. Enjoy exploring this beautiful area before returning to your hotel.
